Liberty Station will be the location for a casting call for the 2008 season of the popular reality televion show “The Amazing Race,” aired on CBS.
On Saturday, Dec. 8 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., interested San Diegans have the opportunity to show the casting directors why they should be picked to be chronicled as they trek across the world.
Each two-person team has two minutes to present themselves to the judges, according to casting-call organizers.
The CBS hit show airs locally on KFMB Channel 8 on Sundays at 8 p.m. The prize for the winning team of “The Amazing Race” is $1 million.
“It’s hard to say how many people will show up,” said Heather Mills of BCI public relations, the PR firm of Liberty Station.
“This is the only casting call in SoCal and there is no pre-registration. Hundreds, maybe thousands could come.”
Auditioning parties don’t have to sign up, but will have to fill out some forms.
“We are prepared for people the day before,” said Mills. “Some may stake their spot Friday night.”
