On Aug. 7, La Mesa resident Lisa Hall ran the San Diego Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk in honor of her father Tom Hall — a former Chief of Police for the San Diego Unified School District who passed away from lung cancer 2014.
Lisa’s team raised $640 of the over $53,000 brought in by the event. This year, San Diego Free to Breathe surpassed a quarter million raised in San Diego since the inaugural event in 2010.
