To commemorate its first year in business, founder and director of the La Jolla Yoga Center, Jeanie Carlstead, will be orchestrating a series of celebratory events on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the center, located at 7741 Fay Ave. All clinics and classes will cost $1 all day and will conclude with a “We Are One” party featuring live music, food, drinks and special guest Erich Schiffmann, master yoga teacher. There will be a $1 raffle with chances to win jewelry, Lululemon yoga gear, spa treatments, gift certificates from La Jolla restaurants and other items. The festivities will begin at 7:01 p.m. and have a suggested donation of $10, with proceeds going to Las Patronas, a philanthropic organization committed to providing financial assistance to nonprofits.
