The first surf heat, “Geezers Go First!” for ages 60 and older, will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the “Cavemen and Cavewomen” heat for ages 45 to 59 at 10 a.m., couples and families at noon and “Gremmies and Gremmets” for surfers up to age 29 at 1 p.m. Following the non-competitive surf meet, guests can enjoy island fare and surf tunes by the Duo-Tones at the luau, where the association will honor Windansea surfer and shaper George Lanning. Raffle prizes will be given away at the luau, including the grand prize of a surfboard shaped and donated by Lanning. Tickets are $35 for an individual to surf, $60 for couples or families to surf and $15 for the luau. All boards must be nine feet or longer. For more information call (808) 499-9032.
