Last year, the eerie setup brought more than 200 neighborhood kids who spent the entire night in the haunted house perusing the ghosts and ghouls within. The haunted house will be open free for all ages from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 31. The haunted house will be set up at Ooh La La Dance Studio, located at 7467 Cuvier St. For more information, visit www.ollda.com or call (858) 456-4500. Halloween isn’t just for kids. Beaumont’s in Bird Rock will dish out some tricks and treats for adults in the form of tasty Halloween-themed libations at the neighborhood pub’s lively Halloween party on Oct. 27. Try the bar’s special Beaumont’s Jack O’ Lantern cocktail, comprised of Jack Daniels, pumpkin spice liquor, fresh mandarin and a dash of spicy cinnamon for a frighteningly twisted taste of Halloween. With live music by December’s Children starting at 9 p.m., a costume contest with prizes, and scary-good food and drink specials, Beaumont’s has everything adults to have a great time this Halloween. Beaumont’s is located at 5662 La Jolla Blvd. For more information, visit www.beaumontseatery.com or call (858) 459-0474. Discover the eerie glowing creatures of the deep and those that lurk just beneath the surface at Birch Aquarium’s haunted shipwreck on Oct. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Kids can enjoy close encounters of the fishy kind while boogying down to some live tunes or exploring the underwater wreckage for sunken treasures at the aquarium, located at 2300 Expedition Way. For more information, visit aquarium.ucsd.edu or call (858) 534-7336. Tickets to the haunted shipwreck are $15 general admission, $12 for members or $17 at the door. For those willing to venture outside of La Jolla, join the festive fun at Seaport Village’s second annual Halloween Bash on the Bay. The Village has already been busy celebrating since Oct. 20 with a week of deals for locals leading up to the celebration, which culminates in the spooky event on Oct. 27. The Halloween event invites all the little monsters, vampires, pirates and zombies out for trick-or-treating, a pet costume contest, live music and photos with a living scarecrow. Entertainment will abound from 3:30 to 8 p.m., with trick-or-treating from 5 to 8 p.m. Deals are listed at www.facebook.com/SeaportVillage. Locals must show valid California ID or SDG&E bill to redeem the discounts and gifts. The La Jolla Art Association will present “Femmes Fatales,” at its gallery, located at 8100 Paseo del Ocaso, Ste. B in La Jolla Shores on Oct. 27. The exhibit will feature a fatally attractive showcase of talented artists displaying everything from paintings, photography, silk art, jewelry, sculpture and more — and all with underlying themes of danger and intrigue. A free artists reception from 7 to 9 p.m. will give guests the opportunity to chat with the artists over champagne and hors d’oeuvres. The “Femmes Fatales” exhibit will be on display at the gallery until Nov. 4. For more information, visit www.lajollaart.org or call (858) 459-1196.
