The La Jolla Community Center recently announced that Jim Thimmes and Dr. Denise Casey were sworn in as new board members on Sept. 17, 2019. “We are delighted that these experienced and highly qualified individuals will be joining our board,” said CEO Ruth Yansick. “Jim brings an extensive background in brand awareness, training, and national sales efforts and holds a degree in business administration and marketing. Denise has a Ph.D. in communications and specializes in public relations and strategic communications in business and industry.” “These individuals certainly exhibit the core value of giving back to the community,” she said, adding that both new board members are active members of the center and dedicated to its mission and to serving the center and community. Yansick also pointed out that expanding the board reflects the Center’s vision of reaching a greater number of seniors in our community with new and exciting offerings.
