Summer has officially kicked off at Karl Strauss Brewing Co. with the launch of a new season of Arts & Amps. Now in its fourth season, Arts & Amps has blossomed into a festival-like experience incorporating a diverse array of artists, multiple live performances, and an expanded list of beer offerings. The lineup for this summer features an eclectic mix of artists from two different local collectives, and bands that span a wide variety of musical genres. Cohort Collective brings their unique element of live performance art, and Creative Souls on the West Coast will showcase rotating gallery displays of the latest work from their crew of artists.
The first installment of this summer’s three-part series was held on May 19 and featured the eclectic, high energy sounds of Boostive and Elektric Voodoo. “Arts & Amps represents summer here at Karl Strauss. There’s nothing like drinking a great beer outside on a summer afternoon jamming out to live tunes and seeing incredible artists performing and displaying their creative talents. These events celebrate everything we love most about our city and the inspiring community we get to share it with.” –Paul Segura, Brewmaster, Karl Strauss Brewing Company
The next Arts & Amps will be held this Saturday, June 23 featuring The Routine, Splavender, and Johnny Tarr. And for the season finale, Karl is bringing back Little Hurricane and Well Well Well on Saturday, July 28. Each event takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at their Tasting Room & Beer Garden in Pacific Beach. Admission is free so bring friends and come thirsty.
