This is just one small piece of the pie, probably intended to misinform. The district now lists 131,541 pre-kindergarten through grade 12 students. The total budget for 2009-10 was $2.018 billion, or about $15,300 per student. The total budget for 2010-2011 was $1.877 billion, or about $14,250 per student. At that rate, the district spends about $427,500 per class of 30. How much is enough?
