The March 29 Great Artist Grande Finale Exhibition at The Children’s School featured many examples of breathtaking art, including “San Diego Skyline” done in a Jacob Lawrence art style by pre-kindergartners. Rebecca Lindsay’s third-grade class painted a Wyland-inspired marine theme surfboard that so impressed the manager of the La Jolla Wyland gallery that he invited the class to attend a June 2 appearance by Wyland and display their art. Each classroom studies a different artist and emulates that style.
