A man walking the cliffs over the sands of Torrey Pines City Beach – locally known as Black’s Beach – became stuck and needed rescuing April 16.
Rescuers were called about 1:45 p.m., according to Lee Swanson, information officer for San Diego Fire-Rescue. “Guy got stuck on the cliffs,” Swanson said. “There are a lot of precarious places along that cliff,” he added.
Contrary to television reports, Swanson told Patch that the man was not injured and was able to climb to the top of the bluff with the help of firefighters.
“They were able to climb down to him, drop a rope,” Swanson said. – La Jolla Patch
