With so many cherished memories throughout the years, and a passion for success driving female entrepreneurs to create businesses that are filled with something for all, there is truly no better way to give back to our community than by recognizing the hard work and dedication of our female-business owners. As March is Women’s History Month, we encourage you to stop by Little Italy and support the hardworking women in our neighborhood!

For the style icons and fashionistas, check out Stroll Boutique for a selection of affordable fashion, handmade local items, and the perfect gifts. For a unique selection of the latest clothing, jewelry and accessories, check out Valmare Boutique. Owned and curated by a dynamic sister duo, Valmare specializes in resort wear from designers all over the world, including Italy. Other female-owned boutiques include Rosamariposa, Bluza Boutique, Irelia Fine Jewelry and Verde.

Calling all art lovers! Become immersed into an environment filled with beautiful art including paintings, sculptures, jewelry and special gifts. Local artist Stefanie Bales is bringing a splash of color into your home through colorful palettes inspired by the picturesque landscapes of Southern California. Nestled among the tree-lined walkways is Adelman Fine Art, a contemporary art gallery showcasing some of the finest art in San Diego. Take a stroll down Kettner Blvd. towards the north end of Little Italy and you’ll find Meyer Fine Art. Focusing on original graphics, limited edition prints, and other works on paper. Specializing in 19th-21st century artists, the gallery also holds a complimentary selection of paintings.

For the self-care and wellness lovers, our iconic female business owners know how to keep members of the community always feeling their best. Break a sweat with a class at Infinite Yoga and Pilates Room Studios, stop by Remedy Holistic Pharmacy for all your holistic wellness needs, and treat yourself to a fresh new look at Theory Hair Studio. We also can’t forget about the sweetest treats in the neighborhood from Extraordinary Desserts and Frost Me Café & Bakery, and the freshest ingredients from the Little Italy Mercato.

This month and every month, we invite you to honor les donne (the women) in our neighborhood!
