On Friday, May 22, an 80-year-old male was driving his 1996 Jaguar eastbound on 1200 Sea World Drive in Mission Bay Park. The driver came to a bend in the roadway and drove straight into westbound lanes. He went down the embankment hitting two palm trees. The man sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor. Traffic Division is investigating.
