MARCH 6 Clean PB Day is the first Saturday of each month. Come to the Lifeguard Tower (end of Grand Avenue) from 9 a.m. to noon. Even if you only have one hour; please join us for this monthly clean-up. Sponsored by your PB Town Council (PBTC), Safe & Beautiful Committee. We are non-profit, so your time qualifies for community service. We supply gloves, bags, etc. — all the tools you need to help keep our beach, bay and streets clean. Your time includes complimentary breakfast at PB Shore Club. MARCH 10 PB Sundowner: This month’s Sundowner (a great, affordable community gathering) will be on Wednesday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m. The location will be the Discover PB Office, 1503 Garnet Ave. For more info, call the office at (858) 483-6666. MARCH 13 Native Plant Weed & Water — Saturday, March 13, 10 a.m. Weeds to the left of us, weeds to the right, come out all volunteers and fight fight fight (or at least pull, pull, pull)! Be prepared for lots of weeding. Meet behind Rose Creek Cottage, 2525 Garnet Ave. Park on Fogg Street just South of Garnet. Join the Friends of Rose Creek on the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon while we work on The Nature School’s native plant interpretive garden behind Rose Creek Cottage. Enjoy weeding, watering and planting native species and get involved with your creek and your community. We’ll have snacks and beverages. Easy one to two hour project — great for children of all ages. Perfect for community service credit hours. Please wear sunscreen, closed-toe shoes and a hat. Volunteers should bring water and heavy-duty work or gardening gloves. More information, Karin Zirk (858) 405-7503 or [email protected]. MARCH 17 PB Town Council (PBTC) general meeting is the third Wednesday of each month, currently held at the PB Woman’s Club, 1721 Hornblend St. at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers include representatives from your City Council and SD Police Department. PBTC annual membership is $20 (individual); $25 (family); $50 (business). To join, go to www.pbtowncouncil.org or call (858) 483-6666. Members and guests are encouraged to attend the monthly general meeting.
