PB Realtor Chris Love has moved her Coastal Properties business from 4090 Mission Blvd. to a new home at 4125 Mission Blvd.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d been at the same location with Coldwell Banker\u2019s office since 1976 and they gave us notice on April 14 that they were going to shut the doors,\u201d said longtime Realtor Love, who had to pivot quickly. \u201cWe were trying to figure out who to go with as our license was about to expire. So we left Coldwell Banker and went with eXp across the street and built it up from the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luckily for her, developer husband Bill Clapperton was able to come to Love\u2019s rescue. \u201cHe was able to pull a crew off a big remodel in the area and put it over there and we were able to do it in 16 days, a brand new office,\u201d said Love of refurbishing her new space.<\/p>\n

Helen Villiers, a certified transaction coordinator with eXp Realty, said Love and her 10 colleagues who came over are a welcome addition. “It is truly an honor and a privilege to announce Chris Love, a true pillar of \u00a0Pacific Beach and Mission Beach to eXp of Southern California Realty,\u201d she said. \u201cChris has been an integral part of this real estate community since the mid-70s, and her professionalism, unparalleled insight into the luxury market, and boundless energy have made her a trusted figure in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Added Villiers, \u201cAs a fourth-generation San Diego and Mission Beach local, Chris’s connection to the area runs deep. Over the past 40 years, she and Bill have owned real estate offices in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Their leadership has paved the way for countless agents to build successful careers and become household names in the real estate community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love\u2019s legacy lies in her ability to truly understand luxury properties and establish long-lasting relationships with her clients. \u201cIt’s not uncommon for her to sell the same home multiple times to different people over the years \u2013 a testament to her expertise and knowledge of the market,\u201d Villiers said.<\/p>\n

Chris and Bill are also known for their generosity. \u201cThey devote their time and resources to multiple charities and worthy causes,\u201d Villiers said adding, \u201cCurrently, Chris serves as a board member for\u00a0Rally4Reilly.org<\/a>, an organization dedicated to helping families affected by spinal cord injuries. While Chris has gained international recognition, her focus remains firmly on serving the local community, specifically Pacific and Mission beaches and La Jolla.\u201d
\nAsked how she got into real estate, Love said she worked for a bank for a year out of college before going into the industry because it offered \u201cthe chance for a woman to be successful, I had the skill set and I knew the area.\u201d<\/p>\n

She attributes her success to \u201chard work and dedication.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s changed most in the real estate business during her tenure?<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I started the real estate contract was one page, and now it\u2019s hundreds of pages,\u201d replied Love who spoke of the biggest change of all nowadays for realtors. \u201cWith the internet, we\u2019re all working globally,\u201d she said.\u201cPB and MB are global markets now, though they\u2019ve always also been local markets.
