A number of college students with ties to the local area are being honored for their academic efforts in and out of the classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among them:<\/span><\/p>\n

* Taylor Currier<\/b> of San Diego, a Trine University (Indiana) student, was named to the President\u2019s List for the spring 2023 term. Currier is majoring in Exercise Science.<\/span><\/p>\n

To earn President\u2019s List honors, Trine students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a GPA of 3.75-4.0.<\/span><\/p>\n

* Jonathan Geraci<\/b> of La Mesa, a student at Missouri State University, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Geraci is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.<\/span><\/p>\n

* Ryan Floyd<\/b> of La Mesa was named to Southern New Hampshire University\u2019s winter 2023 Dean\u2019s List. The winter term runs from January to May.<\/span><\/p>\n

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean\u2019s List.<\/span><\/p>\n

* Claire Stephens<\/b> of La Mesa qualified for Belmont University\u2019s (Tennessee) spring 2023 Dean\u2019s List. Approximately 49% of Belmont\u2019s 6,552 undergraduate students were named.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dean\u2019s List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality GPA of 3.5 with no grade below a C.<\/span><\/p>\n

* Azizat Sanni <\/b>of San Diego, a student at San Jose State University, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sanni is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. <\/span><\/p>\n
