If you\u2019re looking for gifts \u2013 this could also be it.\u201d<br \/>\nPainter Jeremy Evans\u00a0noted\u00a0OB Mindful Goods\u00a0is a \u201cdo it yourself place\u201d that puts art supplies \u201cback into circulation. We try to provide people with a place where they can come and buy brushes and stuff without having to go outside the community.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">While\u00a0OB is artist friendly, Dembeck\u00a0pointed out: \u201cWe noticed a bit of a gap in the market. (Courtesy photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"western\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This space has really transformed a lot already and it\u2019s going to keep going,\u201d enthused Allison \u201cAly\u201d Auffenberg of the retail space\u00a0in Unit 6 at the mall\u00a0she and Rylee Culverwell have created since January.\u00a0The pair are\u00a0offering<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">numerous forms of holistic healing\u00a0by appointment<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">including Reiki, Balinese herbal massage, bio-field tuning, plant medicine, moxibustion, children mindfulness, cupping, life coaching and private yoga sessions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">We came together to form this healing studio where people can have access to all different sorts of healing modalities,\u00a0things they haven\u2019t tried before,<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u201d <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">said Culverwell, adding\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">the healing arts she and Auffenberg practice are both \u201cvisceral and experiential. It\u2019s really cathartic. This is what people need right now after COVID. Everyone just feels so out of balance.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It really is based around the person too,\u201d noted Aufenberg\u00a0about their business model\u00a0adding \u201cwe treat psychological and emotional stuff. If we see something depleted, we help to replenish it. We\u2019re from the same school as acupuncture and meditation. We even have<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">our own little personalized mailbox\u00a0room<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">for customers that we never had before.\u00a0The mall is open seven days a week, so customers have their own code to get into the mail room through the keypad from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Chris said they\u2019re now also able to do something else they\u2019ve always wanted to do in their new space, which is separating the shipping aspect of the business from\u00a0its<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">printing side. \u201cNow we\u2019re able to have a dedicated shipping location with a self-serve packing table for people to use, especially helpful during the busy holidays,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re still here and available to help. But if it\u2019s easy stuff, they can just do it on their own. It just makes it easier for everybody.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It also helps that, when you first enter the indoor mall, your focal point is drawn to OBBC\u2019s suites in the rear of the alleyway.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It\u2019s been really good timing,\u201d Chris Peregoy said of how the mall and all its new tenants are coming together. \u201cAnamaya (upstairs vintage store) came in about a month before we did. Brew Wave Coffee changed hands a few months prior. It\u2019s like all new tenants, new energy. There\u2019s just a newer vibe to the place.
