Herrera, San Diego, US Marine Corps (Retired), Jay W. Schimke, La Mesa, US Navy (Retired), John Schmidt, Chula Vista, US Navy (Former), Allen Rosker, La Mesa, US Navy (Retired), Isidoro P. Quinonez, Santee, US Navy (Retired), Steve Reynolds, San Diego, US Navy (Former).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Together these seven men served 133 years in the United States Military. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Quilts of Valor Foundation began in 2003 with a dream from founder Catherine Roberts. The message of her dream: Quilts = Healing. To date 328,000 quilts have been presented in the U.S. Kay Lettington, Awards Coordinator, introduced each veteran.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">At the Oct. 12 general meeting, a proposed slate for 2023 board members was approved.
