The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce announced a pair of events for September.<\/span><\/p>\n

First, LMCC is holding its annual mixer on Wednesday, Sept. 21, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and end<\/span>En g<\/span> at 7 p.m. at Hooleys Public House in Grossmont Center, 5500 Grossmont Center Drive. <\/span>Hooleys Public House is owned by <\/span>Craig McDonald.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Chamber will host a raffle and other surprises. Bring your business cards while you mix and mingle. The evening cost is: F<\/span><\/span>ree<\/span> a <\/span>all<\/span> Chamber <\/span>metro<\/span>embers, Guests – $15 per person and <\/span>a<\/span>t-<\/span>D<\/span>oor <\/span>F<\/span>ee – $25 per person. <\/span><\/p>\n

Next, LMCC welcomes<\/span><\/span> The Pioneer BBQ on <\/span>Wednesday, Sept.<\/span> 28 to <\/span>the b<\/span>usiness <\/span>C<\/span>ommunity <\/span>w<\/span>ith a <\/span>metro<\/span>ixer & <\/span>r<\/span>ibbon <\/span>C<\/span>utting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. and will end at 7 p.m. at The PioneerBBQ, 8622 Lake Murray Drive. <\/span><\/span>The business is located<\/span> in the Navajo Shopping Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pioneer offers a full rack of specialties including smoked meat combos, pork topped burgers, the party fowl and a tangy twist on several barbecue classics. The Pioneer serves BBQ in-house, caters and offers \u201ctake out\u201d orders. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meet Galin Crist, <\/span><\/span>metro<\/span>anager and her staff and sample some of the items served on the menu. The Pioneer boasts a circular bar which has 14 beer taps and a broad range of cocktails including the signature \u201cPioneer\u201d featuring Maker\u2019s Mark, cognac, maple syrup, angostura and black walnut bitters, applewood smoke. <\/span><\/p>\n
