The Navajo Community puts a lot into the restoration of Navajo Canyon to its natural state. This is and will be a generational effort that includes periodic removal of trash. <\/span>Me encanta un san diego limpio<\/i><\/span> <\/i>is supporting a major clean-up of the Navajo Canyon on Thursday, Aug. 18, beginning at 3 p.m. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Join <\/span><\/span><\/span>Me encanta un san diego limpio<\/span><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Amigos del Ca\u00f1\u00f3n Navajo<\/span><\/span><\/span>, y <\/span><\/span><\/span>Piensa en Blue San Diego <\/span><\/span><\/span>for a litter cleanup in <\/span><\/span><\/span>Navajo Canyon.<\/span><\/span><\/span> They<\/span><\/span><\/span> will divert litter from the <\/span><\/span><\/span>San Diego River Watershed <\/span><\/span><\/span>and keep it from traveling to the Pacific Ocean.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

El<\/span><\/span> staff will be set-up with a check-in table at <\/span><\/span><\/span>The Navajo Canyon Trailhead<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Join <\/span><\/span><\/span>them<\/span><\/span><\/span> Aug. 18 <\/span><\/span><\/span>to learn about the canyon and recycling right, then grab supplies and help <\/span><\/span><\/span>them<\/span><\/span><\/span> clean up.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants<\/span><\/span> will sort and dispose of litter and after the cleanup you can request community service verification in your <\/span><\/span><\/span>C<\/span><\/span><\/span>ommunity <\/span><\/span><\/span>h<\/span><\/span><\/span>ub dashboard. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The hosts<\/span><\/span><\/span> encourage social distancing and masks.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This event requires a signed release-of-liability waiver for all volunteers, and anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a guardian. <\/span><\/span><\/span>D<\/span><\/span><\/span>ownload and print the waiver, sign, and bring with you to this cleanup. <\/span><\/span><\/span>No printer? No problem. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The hosts<\/span><\/span><\/span> will have waivers at the check-in table for volunteers. If you are under 18 have your guardian check-in with <\/span><\/span><\/span>those in charge<\/span><\/span><\/span> at the cleanup to sign-off on your participation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
