El Teatro de Repertorio de San Diego (San Diego REP), San Diego Urban Warriors Inc. y el Consejo Asesor Afroamericano de San Diego REP anunciaron hoy el cronograma del 30\u00ba Festival Anual Kuumba de San Diego. Con la curadur\u00eda del director art\u00edstico del festival, Dajahn Blevins, el Kuumba Fest 2022 se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en persona (y virtualmente) en el San Diego Repertory Theatre del 24 al 27 de febrero de 2022.<\/p>\n

Fundado en 1993 por Blevins, Kuumba Fest es la principal celebraci\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n, cultura y herencia afroamericana de San Diego. Kuumba (swahili para "creatividad") Fest re\u00fane a l\u00edderes comunitarios, artistas locales y celebridades para una audiencia anual de casi 5,000. Del g\u00f3spel al hip-hop y del teatro a la danza, el Kuumba Fest de San Diego presenta una amplia muestra de artes que celebran la cultura afroamericana en toda su variedad. Kuumba Fest ofrece un festival anual de tres d\u00edas que incluye talleres educativos, concursos de oratoria y baile hip-hop, representaciones de obras de teatro, Late Nite Live (la versi\u00f3n de San Diego de Late Night at the Apollo) y, como siempre, un concierto de gospel final. Un mercado africano que ofrece artesan\u00edas a la venta por parte de vendedores locales, presentado anualmente en los vest\u00edbulos de Lyceum Theatres.<\/p>\n
