{"id":303152,"date":"2011-07-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-27T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sdnews.com\/writer-takes-issue-with-papers-practices\/"},"modified":"2011-07-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-07-27T07:00:00","slug":"writer-takes-issue-with-papers-practices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/writer-takes-issue-with-papers-practices\/","title":{"rendered":"Writer takes issue with paper\u2019s practices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Does anyone have the backbone to stand up to the bullying <i>San Diego Union-Tribune?<\/i> \u00a0I cancelled my subscription to the <i>U-T<\/i> in May, but it continued to charge my credit card anyway. \u00a0 \u00a0I thought the problem was solved at the end of May because I managed to get all their improper charges to my credit card reversed. \u00a0I believed I had a second layer of protection because my credit card expired at the end of May, and I got a new card with a new number (which the <i>U-T<\/i> didn\u2019t have). \u00a0I was wrong. \u00a0 The <i>U-T<\/i> then began sending me &#8220;late notices&#8221; in the mail and threatened to turn my account over to their collection agency. \u00a0I take threats to my credit record seriously, and don\u2019t wish to be surprised upon my next mortgage application.
