La Jolla Country Day (LJCD) finished the season with a record of 21-7, winning the City Central League and going undefeated 8-0.\u00a0This is the school\u2019s first water polo title. Senior Ryan French made first-team all league, also being voted the league\u2019s most valuable player. Juniors Liam Devine and Nick Augustine made first-team all league, junior Jack Hipkins and sophomore Adrian Everkiou-Kaku made second-team all league, and sophomore Kai Tuites and freshman Tommy Edman made honorable mention.\u00a0 LJCD earned the number 10 seed in Division II for the sectional playoffs and faced off with the seventh-seeded University City High School last Thursday night, losing 8-4. According to LJCD head coach Steve Traverso, the Torreys will look to make an impact and be a very competitive team in the county next season. Elsewhere, The Bishop\u2019s School finished off another strong season with a 9-8 loss to Coronado last week in the CIF semifinals.
