One question is about the proximity of the two farmers markets. Will two farmers markets be successful being so close to one another? The answer is: absolutely yes. An example is the Solana Beach market in relation to the Del Mar market. Both markets thrive, even though they are in close proximity to one another. Farmers markets have a unique way of bringing communities together, much like coffee shops. The two Starbucks in La Jolla are within one block of local coffee shops Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and Pannikin Coffee\u00a0Roasters on Girard.\u00a0All four are flourishing.\u00a0Another question was regarding parking.\u00a0The BRE market expects 40 to 60 vendors.\u00a0Many residents will be walking or biking to attend.\u00a0Darcy Young, manager of the La Jolla Open Aire Market, stated\u00a0their market has 150 vendors, nearly\u00a0two thirds bigger.\u00a0The positive impacts from the BRE farmers market are numerous.
