It is the same\u00a0type her older brother was diagnosed with nine years earlier and has\u00a0been successfully treated for.\u00a0<br \/>\nThanks to the generosity of blood donors, Julia\u2019s brother Isaac has\u00a0received life-sustaining blood transfusions, before undergoing a\u00a0successful bone\u00a0marrow\u00a0transplant.\u00a0<br \/>\nEvery day about 250 kids worldwide die from cancer \u2014 91,250 a year.\u00a0One in 330 children will be diagnosed with cancer by age 20. Less than\u00a05 percent of the federal government\u2019s total funding goes to children\u2019s\u00a0cancer\u00a0research.
