Mr. Murphy, an engineer, is considered to be the most experienced and knowledgeable person on the airport operations and expansion. <br \/>Whatever is one&#8217;s position or view on Lindbergh Field expansion plans, the community needs an unbiased honest discussion based on all the facts. We do not want a one-sided Airport Authority view concerned only with the traveling public convenience, with no concern for, or mitigation of impacts, on thousands of San Diego residents. <br \/>Whether through design or ignorance, the board has essentially endorsed [the Airport Authority&#8217;s] expansion plan which includes a 5-story parking structure, increased noise and air pollution, and, eventually a second runway. <br \/>Let&#8217;s all reason together and reflect upon this major impact on our community.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So much for community concern and the Brown Act.
