A 73-year-old man pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to stabbing a woman near Belmont Park in 2014 and will be sentenced Dec. 14. Terrance Alphonce Behan faces a maximum term of four years in prison, but court records say the defense is seeking him to be released in some type of senior citizen supervision program.
\nBehan was determined to have regained his mental competency some months ago after receiving treatment and psychiatric medications after he was committed to Patton State Hospital in April 2015.
\nBehan admitted to assaulting the woman, 54, in the 3000 block of Mission Boulevard on July 18, 2014. A charge of making a criminal threat to a man that same day was dismissed by San Diego Superior Court Judge Dan Link.
\nBehan stabbed the woman, reportedly saying her smoking bothered him. He remains in the George Bailey Detention Facility on $200,000 bail.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
