Firefighters received a call Tuesday morning that a canyon near eastbound Highway 52 was ablaze, said a San Diego Fire Rescue Department dispatcher. &#8220;They knocked down the fire at 8:48 [a.m.],&#8221; the dispatcher said. &#8220;There was no damage \u2014 it was just a small vegetation fire.&#8221; But Stan Wasowski, with the National Weather Service, said the coastal areas are not considered at risk and those areas are outside the Red Flag Warning area. &#8220;The Red Flag Warning is still going, just for the mountains and the valleys,&#8221; Wasowski said on Wednesday, Oct. 15. &#8220;It\u2019s mainly based on the low relative humidity.&#8221;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>San Diego\u2019s infamous Red Flag Santa Ana wind conditions did not affect a portion of University City that caught fire about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to National Weather Service officials.
