The collection, which features 700 pieces from around the world, will be on display through Jan. 6. Self-guided tours of the collection are available with a book from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, with no charges or donations required. Groups are encouraged to call (619) 446-2100 in advance of their visit. The collection features items carved from walnut shells made of ash from Mount St. Helens and crystal, porcelain and pewter figures.
