Donovan’s Steakhouse \u2013 the one with the free happy-hour Philly cheesesteak sammies \u2013 is leaving its current location, across from the Westfield UTC Mall, after 15 years. Reports say that the eatery and its landlord, Newport Beach-based The Irvine Company, could not reach an agreement on rent and other matters. Speculation is that the restaurant will move to the Prospect area of La Jolla, in the heart of the Village. Donovan’s is releasing no further information about its closure except to say that its reopening is expected early next year.
