Collin Tuck led the way on defense with 11 tackles (five solos), while adding 82 yards rushing and a TD on the offensive side of the ball. Teammate Kevin Ings rushed for 80 yards and a score.
LJCD QB Matt Mulligan got in on the act with a touchdown pass and finished the night with 140 yards passing. His scoring strike was a 29-yard strike to Alex Maire. Maire also scooped up an Army\/Navy fumble on a punt and returned it 21 yards for a TD and added a 75-yard kickoff return for a score.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
The La Jolla Country Day (LJCD) Torreys defeated the H-Town Lions, 24-7, in a Nov. 10 Pacific League football game at Country Day.“We think that this will be our toughest league opponent,” LJCD coach Jeff Hutzler said prior to the contest.After the Torreys got on the scoreboard first on a 27-yard field goal by junior […]<\/p>","protected":false},"author":726,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"Torreys tame Lions, Army\/Navy; Knights next","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","jnews-multi-image_gallery":[],"jnews_single_post":[],"jnews_primary_category":[],"jnews_social_meta":[],"jnews_override_counter":[],"footnotes":""},"categories":[11600],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-296594","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sdnews"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/296594","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/726"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=296594"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/296594\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=296594"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=296594"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=296594"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
