{"id":296133,"date":"2013-09-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-09-17T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sdnews.com\/business-briefs-40\/"},"modified":"2013-09-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-09-17T07:00:00","slug":"business-briefs-40","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/business-briefs-40\/","title":{"rendered":"res\u00famenes de negocios"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Bird Rock Coffee Roasters launches at Petco Park \u2014<\/b> Bird Rock Coffee Roasters (BRCR) has branched out and can now be found with a new coffee bar at Petco Park to serve fans at home games.<br \/>\nThe La Jolla-based premium coffee company now has a pour-over bar, as well as offering drip coffee and selected espresso options, serving Padres\u2019 fans on the field level at the left-field grandstand deck.<br \/>\n&#8220;We are beyond excited about launching the pour-over coffee bar experience at Petco Park,&#8221; said BRCR owner Chuck Patton. &#8220;Not only are we thrilled to have front-row seats to support our home team, but we are excited to be a part of the Padres family that is dedicated to the gourmet and wholesome fan experience. We thank them for their support of local San Diego-owned and -operated businesses like us and look forward to serving coffee lovers and Padre fans alike to enhance their ballpark experience.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe ballpark welcomed the addition.<br \/>\n&#8220;Bird Rock Coffee takes great pride in roasting and brewing the highest quality coffee, and we\u2019re happy to be able to offer it to our fans,&#8221; said Scott Marshall, Padres vice president of concessions and retail.<br \/>\nSince 2002, BRCR, a grassroots company, began selling its organic and fair-trade coffee at farmer\u2019s markets and through home-delivery service. In 2006, Patton opened the coffee shop at 5627 La Jolla Blvd. <i>\u2014David Schwab<\/i> <b>Tihanyi sisters and surf school draw accolades \u2014<\/b> Izzy and Coco Tihanyi (right), co-owners of Surf Diva Surf School at 2160 Avenida de la Playa, were thrilled to be featured on Yahoo! Shine for an episode of &#8220;Secrets to your Success.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Tihanyi sisters, avid lifelong surfers, discussed in the interview their successful business approach to women\u2019s surf instruction.<br \/>\n&#8220;I realized that women want to be taught in a different way,&#8221; said Izzy. &#8220;We have a lesson plan that\u2019s geared toward women where they understand everything \u2014 the safety, the rip currents, the tides \u2014 before they go out in the water.&#8221;<br \/>\nIzzy operated the surf school while Coco handled marketing and clothing designs.<br \/>\n&#8220;We are so excited to share our story of Surf Diva,&#8221; said Coco. &#8220;For me it was really important to design clothing that would fit different body types and know that you don\u2019t have to be 14 years old and a size 2.
