La Jolla High accepts donations for family La Jolla High School (LJHS) officials are reaching out to area residents in an effort to help a local family whose possessions were destroyed in a Dec. 9 fire. “They lost everything but the clothes they had worn to school,” La Jolla High School district counselor Cathy Zimmer wrote in an e-mail. LJHS administrators are asking La Jollans to donate extra clothes and appliances. The family includes two teenagers \u2014 a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. “If you have a computer, printer or clothes that you would like to donate, you may bring them to the counseling conference room,” Zimmer wrote. Zimmer said the male teenager wears size 32 by 32 pants, medium or large shirt, large sweatshirt and size 10 shoes. The female teenager wears size 9\/10 pants, medium shirts, large sweaters and size 6 \u00bd shoes. Fleet Science Center\u2019s Space Theater in Balboa Park is back in business following a $20 million renovation that features a new sound system and a seamless NanoSeam screen.
