You really do feel like you are getting away when you walk in,” she said. The day spa was a natural extension of owner Dr. Stephen Krant\u2019s 32-year cosmetic surgery practice. He opened the facility adjacent to his cosmetic surgery center, SK Clinic, 10 years ago to give his patients access to quality pre- and post-operative treatments that would aid in the healing process. Today, however, the spa\u2019s popularity has grown so much that only about 30 percent of its customers visit as a result of procedures at the clinic, Krant said. The remaining 70 percent of customers indulge in the spa\u2019s many aesthetic and medical-grade services. The spa features a full hair and nail salon, 12 treatment rooms for facials, massages and medical-grade services like injectables, chemical peels and cystic-acne treatments, and a laser center for hair removal and skin resurfacing procedures. The spa also carries a full range of cosmeceuticals \u2014 medical-grade cosmetic products like anti-aging serums and moisturizers that can only be sold at facilities that staff medical personnel.
