Castro\u2019s outgoing and upbeat personality is conducive to cooking and the customer service skills needed to work in the busy area where Garnet Avenue meets the boardwalk. How do you bring your personality to your workplace?<\/b> “I\u2019m a people person. It\u2019s not just about the food. It\u2019s about the atmosphere when they come here. You can relate to the customers and they relate to you. It\u2019s a bonding experience. It\u2019s not just, \u2018I\u2019m serving you.\u2019 It\u2019s, \u2018This guy likes football. I like this guy.\u2019 Sports are a camaraderie. It\u2019s a common denominator between myself and the customers. It\u2019s fun.” You have a pretty thick Boston accent. That must stick out quite a bit around here?<\/b> “It\u2019s rather distinguishable. It\u2019s good because I have a sarcastic attitude. I\u2019m extremely blunt. Not up-in-your-face in an annoying way. But I\u2019m going to say it if I want to. I think people like it. We definitely have a Boston attitude and I like it. I think it works out and it\u2019s different than what you get in a lot of places. It keeps you on your toes.” What\u2019s your go-to dish?<\/b> “My specialty is probably fish tacos because I came up with the recipe. A lot of things here are my recipes and it\u2019s all homemade.
