The award was presented during the sanitation industry\u2019s annual\u00a02018 WasteExpo\u00a0in Las Vegas. Bronner is a 29-year veteran of the City\u2019s Environmental Services Department (ESD), Collections Services Division.<br \/>\n&#8220;My sincere congratulations to Mr. Bronner on this incredible honor,&#8221; said San Diego Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer. &#8220;He represents this City\u2019s commitment to excellence in customer service and he sets an example for all of us to follow. We appreciate his dedication to our City and its residents.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Driver of the Year award was presented to Bronner during the NWRA\u2019s annual Awards Breakfast. Bronner previously finished as a semi-finalist in 2004. Other awards presented at this event included Operator of the Year, Hall of Fame, Distinguished Service, Member of the Year and the Chapter Leadership Award.<br \/>\nBronner was recognized for his many contributions to his job, including a notable record of zero traffic accidents over the span of his career. He joined the City\u2019s ESD on April 17, 1989 and has driven a variety of trucks, including one of the City\u2019s new Compressed Natural Gas vehicles.
