With spring having sprung, a number of Mission Bay High sports teams are back in action. Golf
\nThe Bucs, under head coach Gebel Anderson, are off to a 4-1 start on the season.
\nComing off of a 9-5 campaign a season ago, Mission Bay looks to freshman Andy Knight, junior Aydan Lopresti, and sophomore Brad Tomlinson to lead the way.
\n“The future is looking bright for the MBHS golf program,” Anderson said. Swimming
\nMission Bay, under coaches John Knight and Lyndsay Sutterley, is growing in numbers for both the boys and the girls.
\nThe team is led by senior Kiley Knight who competed at CIF Finals the past three years. “We\u2019re looking forward to league play in April,” John Knight stated. Baseball
\nMission Bay comes into play this week with a mark of 2-4. The Bucs got their two wins to date over Chula Vista (3-2) and Foothills Christian (2-1), respectively.
\nMission Bay is slated to play Mater Dei Catholic on March 22 in the Bill Dickens Tournament. Softball
\nMission Bay enters action this week with a record of 4-2. The Bucs have topped Escondido Charter (18-0), Serra (4-0), Helix (6-1) and Chula Vista (4-1), respectively.
\nMission Bay will be in action next on April 4 when it meets Escondido Charter once again.
