A steaming hot breakfast awaits local residents when the Point Loma High School baseball teams offers their annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Jan. 12. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 10 a.m.
\nHungry diners who arrive at St. Agnes Hall, 1140 Evergreen St. will receive pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee all for a cost of $5.
\nAvailable at extra cost will be a donut bar and specialized pancake toppings.
\nTickets can be purchased from members of the school’s baseball teams, who are competing for ticket sale prizes, or at the door. Cash or checks will be accepted.
\nAlso planned at the event are raffle prizes in addition to baseball team logo wear.
\nThis event is conducted largely by the players, who will be on\u00a0hand, in full uniform, to set up the hall, check in guests, assist with cooking, serve food and drinks and clean up.
\nAll teams–varsity, junior varsity and freshmen–will play a game later in the day.
\nThose\u00a0wishing to donate to the baseball program should make checks payable to PLHSPA-Baseball. All proceeds will benefit the team.
\nPointer\u00a0players have been practicing under new head coach Jeff Solis for several weeks in preparation for a winter season followed by the\u00a0regular spring prep season.
