Bishop’s graduating seniors are on a path to success if college statistics mean anything.
Forty-three percent of the 131 graduates were accepted into the nation’s top 20 schools as ranked by U.S. News & Report. Nine will attend Princeton University, six head to Stanford University and four are enrolled at Harvard University. Only three will remain in the area “” all attending University of California, San Diego “” and only 44 percent of the senior class will stay in California.
Seniors will bid vale dicere (farewell in Latin) to The Bishop’s School on Saturday, June 10, 2 p.m., in the school’s quad.
At the ceremony, senior class president Susanah Hoehn will remind students that to those whom much is given, much is required.
“Being at Bishop’s, we’ve been given a lot of opportunities and a lot of education, so in return we’re obligated to give back to the community and to the world,” Hoehn said.
On the horizon for Hoehn is Dartmouth College, where she plans to study international relations and classics. Hoehn said she decided on Dartmouth because it has “the community feeling that Bishop’s has.”<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
