Alex Hernandez climbed to third on Point Loma track and field’s all-time top 10 list in the\u00a01500m, and was one of 10 Sea Lions to record a season-best time, on Saturday, April 22 at the Triton Invitational.
\nHernandez placed third overall in the event, between a runner from USC and San Diego State, with a time of 4:34.62. That lifted her from fifth to third on the all-time top 10 list as she shaved 1.67 seconds off her previous career-best time. It is just 0.62 seconds off the NCAA Provisional Qualifying Standard.
\nThe Sea Lions\u00a04x400m\u00a0relay team of Janie\u00a0Unkefer, Demi White, Gianna\u00a0Tesone\u00a0and Avery\u00a0Avina\u00a0placed second at the meet with a time of 4:00.36.
\nMegan McFadden leaped to eighth on the\u00a0PacWest\u00a0Performance List with a mark of 34-8.25 (10.57m) in the triple jump. Demi White posted a PR in the\u00a0200m\u00a0dash with a time of 26.95. Jordan\u00a0Sienkiewicz\u00a0also posted a personal record in the\u00a01500m\u00a0with a time of 4:47.14. Presley\u00a0DuBois\u00a0ran a time of 16.09 in the\u00a0100m\u00a0hurdles. Marissa\u00a0Dotter(1:02.98), Bailey Webster (1:04.51) and Sydney Smith (1:04.70) all had season-best marks in the\u00a0400m.
