Marriott Marquis San Diego’s Marina Kitchen\u00a0has teamed up with award-winning San Diego brewery,\u00a0Pizza Port Brewing Co., to create\u00a0a one-time spring brew, which was brewed and kegged\u00a0at their Ocean Beach location. Inspired by the ingredients, including honey from the hotel\u2019s very own bees, the name “To Bee Or Not To Be,” was selected through Marriott\u2019s social media contest. The limited-edition beer, which can best be described as a honey lemon golden ale, debuts March 6 and will be available at Marina Kitchen, at 333 W. Harbor Drive, and all Pizza Port locations for\u00a0$8. Marina Kitchen\u2019s team, led by sommelier Michael Pickering, collaborated with Pizza Port head brewer Matt Palmer, to create the special beer, featuring local lemons and honey sourced from Marriott\u2019s own rooftop hives\u00a0(implemented to promote bee conservation while also allowing for honey-inspired fare) as well as pale malt for a full body and a robust finish.
