The waves will build to 3 to 5 feet at North County beaches today, and sets of up to 7 feet will be possible along the coast throughout the county Wednesday and Thursday.<br \/>\n&#8220;The surf will gradually decrease Friday though rip currents could remain strong then,&#8221; according to the weather service.<br \/>\nThe NWS advised beachgoers to obey posted warning signs, use caution around the water and always swim near a lifeguard.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Potentially dangerous rip currents and higher than average surf are expected to develop June 14 as a pair of swells move toward the San Diego County coastline.
