While crews were working on the 10-inch-diameter recycled water pipeline break, they discovered another break on a 16-inch-diameter water pipeline. That pipeline was shut down around 9:40 p.m., leaving &#8220;500 to 600 residents without service,&#8221; according to San Diego Public Works. As of 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, residents were once again able to use their services.
