Former Padre Tony Gwynn Jr. joins the broadcast team this season in a role that will see him serve both as an analyst for Fox Sports San Diego\u2019s pre and postgame shows on television, as well as an analyst during select Padres radio broadcasts on the club\u2019s new flagship station, FM 94.9. Gwynn returns to San Diego after being part of the Dodgers postgame radio show last season. Bob Scanlan, who previously served as color analyst on Padres radio broadcasts and pre and postgame show host on Channel 4 San Diego, also joins Fox Sports San Diego this season as in-game sideline reporter. All 162 regular season games will be televised in English on either Fox Sports San Diego, FS1 or Fox, and will air live on radio in both English and Spanish. Games produced by Fox Sports San Diego will also be available on the Fox Sports GO app via mobile, tablet and connected devices. In addition, regular season home games will be televised in Spanish on Fox Deportes San Diego.<br \/>\nRegular season coverage on Fox Sports San Diego begins Monday, April 3, with the Padres\u2019 season opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Coverage will begin at noon with an hour-long Padres Live pregame show leading into the game. Coverage concludes with a 30-minute Padres Live postgame show.<br \/>\nDon Orsillo assumes the full-time television play-by-play duties in 2017. He will be joined by former Padres pitcher Mark Grant, returning in the role of analyst. Mike Pomeranz, Mark Sweeney, Michelle Margaux, Gwynn and Scanlan will round out the FOX Sports San Diego broadcast team. Returning this season, former Padres Steve Finley and Clay Hensley will assume the occasional role of analyst for Padres Live pre and postgame shows.<br \/>\nFox Deportes San Diego will televise all home games in 2017. Returning to the booth for Fox Deportes San Diego will be Spanish-language voice of the Padres Eduardo Ortega, celebrating his 31st season with the club, and former Padres catcher Carlos Hernandez. Spanish telecasts will be available on Fox Deportes San Diego throughout San Diego on Cox and Time Warner Cable. Games will also be available in Las Vegas on Cox.<br \/>\nAll 162 regular season Padres games will air live on radio in both English and Spanish in 2017. English broadcasts with Ted Leitner and Jesse Agler can be found on the Padres Radio Network, FM 94.9. Gwynn will provide analysis for select games. Senior executive producer Rich Herrera will serve as in-game reporter and also will host both the pregame show and postgame show in 2017.
