The 18-foot-wide, 9-foot-tall exhibit will hold 5,375 gallons\u00a0of water \u2014 that\u2019s equivalent to 70 bathtubs! More than being a stunning display,\u00a0the habitat has been designed to create an ideal environment to\u00a0breed seadragons. Birch Aquarium hopes to be the first aquarium to successfully\u00a0breed Leafy Seadragons in captivity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Construction has already begun on\u00a0Seadragons &#038; Seahorses, which replaces the\u00a0Infinity Cube\u00a0installation. Once open, the exhibition will be included\u00a0in the cost of Birch Aquarium admission, which is $19.50 for adults, $15 for children (3-17).\u00a0Annual\u00a0memberships are also available. In recent\u00a0years, it has found new life as the Jennings House Caf\u00e9\u00a0(previously\u00a0the Living Room), and\u00a0is\u00a0co-owned by our\u00a0March guest\u00a0speaker, Cathy Gallagher.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In\u00a0researching the history of the house, Cathy came up with many\u00a0fascinating facts about Frank Jennings, his\u00a0brother Fred (who also\u00a0served as San\u00a0Diego County Sheriff from 1907 to 1914), their\u00a0families, and their\u00a0descendants.
