Located at 1299 Camino Del Rio South in Mission Valley, the marijuana dispensary prides itself on being socially conscious and responsible.<br \/>\n&#8220;We don\u2019t sell to anyone under age 21,&#8221; noted co-owner\/CEO Tara St. Peter, who, along with husband Sean, owns the dispensary. &#8220;We cover the whole city of San Diego, and do deliveries outside of the city as well.&#8221;<br \/>\nSean is a Navy veteran and a land surveyor. Tara\u2019s background is in accounting. The St. Peters were previously in the cannabis business in Washington state.<br \/>\n&#8220;In 2008 Sean decided to get into the medical marijuana industry when it was starting out and we had a store,&#8221; said Tara. &#8220;I didn\u2019t come into the industry with him until 2010.&#8221;<br \/>\nTara noted that cannabis industry regulation &#8220;is good,&#8221; acknowledging that, previously, &#8220;there were no regulations.&#8221; She pointed out regulations are now &#8220;black and white.&#8221;\u00a0<br \/>\nSDRC is in a large, 5,000-square-foot building.<br \/>\n&#8220;It\u2019s in an ideal location, right in the heart of Mission Valley in a building that was a nightclub before,&#8221; said Tara, adding their business has somewhat of &#8220;an older demographic.&#8221;\u00a0<br \/>\nOf their inventory, Tara said, &#8220;We have hundreds of different products from vapes and flowers to edibles, topicals and tinctures \u2013 pretty much whatever you desire for cannabis, with the right price that fits your budget.&#8221;<br \/>\nTara talked about SDRC\u2019s amenities.<br \/>\n&#8220;We have 10 check-out stations and superior customer service,&#8221; she said. &#8220;All our products have really fair pricing for the average consumer who is price-conscious and wants really good deals.&#8221;<br \/>\nSDRC wants knowledgeable, as well as satisfied, customers.<br \/>\n&#8220;We really want to educate people (about overindulgence),&#8221; Tara said, adding their clientele includes &#8220;every age, every demographic, tourists, couples, families, those who\u2019ve never tried it and are curious about it. It\u2019s kind of almost an outing and an adventure for them.&#8221;<br \/>\nSt. Peter said it\u2019s an exciting \u2013 though stressful \u2013 time to be in in the fledgling San Diego marijuana business.<br \/>\n&#8220;We\u2019re talking about a brand-new industry and there are a lot of new rules with it,&#8221; Tara said. &#8220;In order to be compliant in the recreational market everything, from seed to sale, is now tracked and traced. Recreational cannabis is now tested for pesticides and microbials.
