There are no age or fitness levels or dog breed restrictions, all are welcome \u2014 even dogs that tend to misbehave become terrific students. &#8220;We\u2019ve designed Leash Your Fitness classes to incorporate your dog\u2019s walk, your workout and to mentally stimulate your dog and really tire them out,&#8221; Celapino said. The Mission Bay boot camp-style classes \u2014 (just north of the Mission Bay Hilton, look for signs) held Tuesdays at 6 p.m. \u2014 have been so well-received that a Thursday, 6 p.m. class has been added to meet demand. Each one-hour class incorporates cardio, strength, balance, core, agility and dog obedience. All classes are taught by certified personal trainers or group exercise professionals. The instructors are coached by dog training experts to help pet owners better understand their dog\u2019s behavioral obedience. &#8220;We love people that are new to fitness \u2014 or exercise novices,&#8221; Celapino said. &#8220;In fact, people that don\u2019t like to exercise usually love our classes because their dog takes their minds off the exercise part.&#8221; Celapino and her team have a successful track record of training people and their &#8220;best friends&#8221; since January 2009.
