Thirteen is the number of triggers the County will be monitoring to make sure it is OK to continue a further reopening of the local economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">On their own, any of the following criteria &ndash; increasing community outbreaks, limited intensive care unit capacity and a dwindling supply of personal protective equipment &nbsp;&ndash; would indicate a worsening of COVID-19 activity in the region and cause modifications to the Health Officer Order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Combinations of the other ten triggers also can cause a modification of the Health Officer Order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To help the public understand and monitor COVID-19 activity in the region, the County has launched&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/apps\/opsdashboard\/index.html#\/1a4b4dedfa68474fb36b5ba9556b3f95\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a dashboard of all 13 triggers that would show a green or a red color depending on the current situation<\/a>. Some triggers will be updated daily and others periodically, depending on the availability of data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&ldquo;All of the triggers are now green, and this is very good news,&rdquo; said Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer. &ldquo;However, people must continue to follow public health guidance to ensure these triggers stay green.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Wooten added that given the region&#8217;s current successes in responding to COVID-19 she is comfortable with the County having the authority to set its own pace to move into&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiegocounty.gov\/content\/sdc\/hhsa\/programs\/phs\/community_epidemiology\/dc\/2019-nCoV\/reopening.html#Stage3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stage 3<\/a>&nbsp;of reopening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&ldquo;We recognize that the community is hurting in terms of businesses being closed,&rdquo; Wooten said. &ldquo;Our metrics support the fact that we can open&hellip;We hope that other industries will also open up.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Testing in San Diego County<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">COVID-19 testing is now more widely available in the region and residents wishing to get a test can now do it,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/symptoms-testing\/symptoms.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whether they have symptoms or not<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">People showing symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their health care provider and arrange for testing. If you don&#8217;t have a health care provider, call 2-1-1 and ask for a public health nurse who will give you a referral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Residents without symptoms who want testing should contact their health care provider, or can access free testing for COVID-19 at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiegocounty.gov\/content\/sdc\/hhsa\/programs\/phs\/community_epidemiology\/dc\/2019-nCoV\/testing.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many locations throughout San Diego County<\/a>. Everyone needs an appointment.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">For County site appointments, call 2-1-1.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">For state sites, make an appointment&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lhi.care\/covidtesting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">en l\u00ednea&nbsp;<\/a>o llamar&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:888-634-1123\">888-634-1123<\/a>. State sites are in Escondido, El Cajon, Chula Vista and Southeastern San Diego.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">If you make an appointment for a COVID-19 test in any location, it&#8217;s important that you keep it so that the spot does not go unused.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>COVID-19 Tests, Cases and Deaths<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Testing:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">A record 4,940 tests were reported to the County on June 2 and 124 or 3% were positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">2.9% was yesterday&#8217;s 14-day, rolling average percentage of positive tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Cases:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">124 new cases were reported for a San Diego County total of 7,798.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1,363 or 17.5% of the total cases have required hospitalization.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">392 or 5% of all cases had to be admitted to the intensive care unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Fallecidos:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Seven new COVID-19 deaths were reported, bringing the region&#8217;s total deaths to 283.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Four men and three women died, and their ages ranged from 46 to 91 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Six had underlying medical conditions and one did not.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The number of active outbreaks, deaths and cases are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">55 active outbreaks; 43 at congregate living facilities and 12 in community settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">796 cases, including 78 deaths in skilled nursing facilities. One new outbreak.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">802 cases, including 60 deaths in other congregate settings. One new outbreak.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">353 cases, including five deaths in community settings.
