It enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing a sense of community.<br \/>\n&#8220;This is really a unique event,&#8221; noted Christina Wainwright, PB Library branch manager. &#8220;All of the activities are meant to bring the neighborhood together, and give people an opportunity to meet and discuss things, from a crime-prevention standpoint.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;Last year, 48 million neighbors gathered throughout the nation for National Nite Out,&#8221; said event organizer Andie LaComb, who lives in the surrounding PB neighborhood. Pointing out the event will be activity-packed, LaComb added, &#8220;It&#8217;s free. We also will have people there volunteering doing tai chi and yoga. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe event will be taking over the entire library grounds. Community groups will be at the front of the library on the Cass Street grass.<br \/>\nThere will be a bike rodeo around the sidewalk on the Cass Street. side. Demonstrations to be given will include classes, games, a photo spot, a fire truck, amazing bubbles, and food trucks on the Dawes Street side.<br \/>\nDemonstrations and classes include:<br \/>\n5:30 \u2013 Red Dragon Stranger Danger class or Tai Chi;<br \/>\n6 &#8211; SDPD K9;<br \/>\n6:30 \u2013 Yoga or library\u2019s pajama storytime for the kids;<br \/>\n7 \u2013 SDPD K9.<br \/>\nCouncilMember Lorie Zapf and State Assemblyman Todd Gloria plan to attend and speak.<br \/>\nCommunity groups involved will include:<br \/>\nBeautiful Mission Beach;<br \/>\nDiscover PB Clean and Safe;<br \/>\nPB Garden Club;<br \/>\nPB Library and Friends of Library;<br \/>\nPB Planning Group;<br \/>\nPB Rec Center;<br \/>\nPB Street Guardians;<br \/>\nPB Town Council;<br \/>\nPB Women\u2019s Club;<br \/>\nRed Dragon;<br \/>\nSave PB;<br \/>\nSDPD fingerprinting and kids identification;<br \/>\nSD Police Foundation;<br \/>\nSen.
