Lawton has a tremendous appreciation for our beach community. “I\u2019m a person of chance,” he said. Lawton was born in Nairobi, East Africa. Just like in the Academy Award-winning film “Slum Dog Millionaire,” Lawton\u2019s youth was surrounded by poverty. Eventually, he emigrated to England after high school, but somehow knew Pacific Beach was his ultimate destination. “I\u2019m self-taught,” said Lawton, who\u2019s known by customers and colleagues as “Dr. iPhone.” He\u2019s nothing less than a skilled surgeon when it comes to iPhone and iPad repair. The technology landscape has changed dramatically these days and if you\u2019re not “in the know,” you\u2019ll find yourself left behind, he said. “As far as my line of work, you either lead, follow or get out of the way,” Lawton said. Lawton is a leader who is always on the cutting edge of technology. But all of his vast knowledge wouldn\u2019t be worth much without his superb customer service. “It\u2019s vital to my operation,” he said. “I want every customer-to-be to know we\u2019ve got all the bases covered for computer, cell phone and graphic design needs.” In his spare time, Lawton enjoys spending time with his, wife, Diana and his pups \u2014 Roxie, the poodle and Killer, the Chihuahua. Lawton has a band called Sticky Buds, which translates to “friendship” in his native land. His band is World Roots music with a reggae foundation.
