Created in partnership with La Jolla-based ocean adventure and apparel company\u00a0Everyday California, the California-inspired craft beer will become part of Resident\u2019s permanent brews, starting this month. The companies will celebrate the launch with a beer release party from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at\u00a0OB Surf Lodge, 5083 Santa Monica Ave.\u00a0<br \/>\nOriginally released in fall 2017, the medium bodied IPA was an instant hit, selling out within days. The beer was designed to embody the &#8220;California cool&#8221; lifestyle, bringing together tropical flavors resembling San Diego with hints of pine from Northern California.<br \/>\n&#8220;We were blown away by the awesome feedback we received from the San Diego community,&#8221; said Brendan Huffman, managing partner at Resident Brewing. &#8220;We knew we created something special and it felt great to see locals embrace it as much as they did. As we plan out our line, we\u2019re proud to have the Everyday California IPA permanently join our family.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Everyday California IPA will be available at\u00a0Resident Brewing\u00a0inside the\u00a0Local Downtown, (1065 4th Ave.),\u00a0and restaurants in Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla, such as OB Surf Lodge,\u00a0The Local PB,\u00a0Bayside Landing,\u00a0Shore Rider,\u00a0Galaxy Taco,\u00a0La Jolla Brewing Co.\u00a0and select La Jolla area hotels, among other venues.\u00a0<br \/>\nThe May 11 release party will be open to the public and will feature food and drink specials, including $5 biscuit sandwiches and $5 Everyday California IPA pints. There will be a beach cleanup beforehand from 4 to 5 p.m.<br \/>\nTasting notes: Medium body with light malt backbone.
